My Flat Tire Story

Yesterday I decided to explore a new trail that was a pretty far drive from my house. But I had heard good things about it, and it was supposed to be pretty excellent for bike rides. I got up early in the morning so I could prepare for a good bike ride. I made sure to pack enough water for the trip and of course my emergency bike repair bag, with the tire inflation kit. That is the biggest problem that a biker can come across on a trail: a flat tire. It has happened to me quite a few times so I always make sure I am prepared in case it ever happens again. I was able to leave the house right as it started to get light outside. It took me almost an hour to get there, but it was worth it. Luckily the trail was not at all crowded and I had a terrific bike ride. The weather was perfect and even though it was a gravel trail, it was still a pretty smooth ride. My tires held up pretty well this time, but I did still have my tire inflation kit just in case.

My Bike Shop

It was always my dream to own my very own bike repair shop. I can finally say that my dream has come true. Last year, I was able to open up shop in the downtown shopping area of my hometown. It is not very large, but it suits me and I have enough space for my own office in the upstairs area. We not only work on bikes that customers bring in that aren’t working right, but we also are a retail store. I like to fix up old bikes and sell them second hand. I also sell emergency repair kits for bikers in case they have an incident out on the trails. Because one of the biggest issues for bike riders are flat tires, it comes with a tire inflation repair kit . That is the biggest seller at my store. We also sell bike accessories like helmets and other safety gear like kneepads and training wheels. For the children bikers, I keep handlebar tassels and baskets with bells in the store as well. My own children help me out in the store on the weekends, which is when we are the busiest....
